Bronze Caster declared Wanted over Alleged Gay Practice
Gay practice has since been legislated as a grievous crime in Nigeria, yet many people are still involving in it, however the law enforcement agents in the country are living no stone upturned to discourage the act, as one Prince Efocity Idahosa, a bronze caster in Benin City, Edo State South-South Nigeria was recently declared wanted for his alleged involvement in gay practice.
The police authority in Benin, through its public relation officer, Felix Agbro told newsmen recently that the 33 year-old bronze caster has been in an amorous relationship (gay practice) with one, Blessed Agbonmwanre, over the past eight years.
According to the police authority, Blessed Agbonmwanre who is said to have developed cancer of the anus was admitted in the hospital and confessed that Idahosa was his gay partner.
According to the force authority, Idahosa was once arrested and denied the allegation but later confessed to have been involving in the practice after he was been subjected to severe torture. The police authority said Idahosa taken to an unidentified hospital for medical attention owing to injury he sustained during his arrest but later escaped from the hospital.
The police authority has therefore called on members of the public with useful information that would lead to the arrest of the fleeing Prince Efocity Idahosa to approach any security formation in the country, assuring that such Information would be treated in strict confidentiality.
According to sources, trouble started for Idahosa few years ago when he was experiencing low turnout in his bronze casting business and reportedly approached a colleague, identified as Fredrick for solution, after which he was initiated into the gay club through blood covenant, with a sound promise that members of the club would start patronising his bronze casting business, after which fortune will begin to smile on him.
After joining the club, it was also gathered that Idahosa was introduced to Blessed Agbonmwanre, a top ranked member of the gay club who eventually became his gay partners.
An anonymous source disclosed that Idahosa’s situation escalated in May 13, 2013 when Blessed Agbonmwanre, in company of his father, David Agbonmwanre and brothers led the police to Idahosa’s shop at Sakponba Road in Benin City and get him arrested, after doctor told them that Blessed Agbonmwanre is having cancer of the anus and Blessed had confessed that Idahosa was his gay partner.
Idahosa reportedly sustained several degrees of injuries and fracture in one of his legs following the ill-treatment in the hand of the police which eventually made him to admit to the crime of gay practice.
Source said Idahosa later escaped from the hospital where he was receiving medical attention as a result of the injuries he sustained during his arrest.
As of the time of this report, according to sources, the police authority is on the lookout for Efocity Idahosa with a view to get him arrested to face the wrath of the law.
According to the Nigeria Anti-Gay Law, Efocity Idahosa risks 14 years jail term if arrested and charged to court.
