Gamblers in trouble over connection in military son’s death

For one Felix Agbontaen and his friends, this is not the best of time as they are currently running from pillar to post for their dear life, following an alleged plan by a suspected retired military officer to eliminate them in retaliation for the death of his son, identified as Monday Sparko.

It was gathered that Agbontaen and his co gamblers namely Osato Saturday, Osamudiamen Earnest, Ogaga Timothy and the military man’s son, Monday Sparko were well known at Saint Saviour area in Benin, Edo State, as unrepentant gambler, especially in a sport bet, known as Bet Naija.

However, sources said the military son, Monday Sparko has long been noted to be troublesome among the group as he always quarrel with his co gamblers whether he wins or loses, adding that he always taken advantage as a military son to cheat and oppressed others.

The sources disclosed that fight ensued among the group on January 24, 2015, notably between Osato Saturday and the troublesome military son, because he lost but Saturday won. Our source said the fight became so serious such that Osato Saturday end up stabbing the military son, who eventually died in an unidentified hospital the following day.

Following the death of his son, the military man, according sources, launched out to eliminate Felix Agbontaen and every other member of the group in retaliation for the death of his son, because he was not really sure of the exact person that stabbed his son to death.

Following the tip from relatives and information from members of the community about the plan by the military man to kill those behind the death of his son, Felix Agbontaen and three others have reportedly run to unknown destination.

A source who identified himself as Ogunsuyi Osagie Kingsley in Upper Sakponba area of Benin disclosed that the military officer was pained and depressed over the death of his son; hence he’s searching everywhere possible to locate Felix Agbontaen and other gamblers with the aim of eliminating them.
