If there is anyone whose story is that of pitying and pathetic, it is that of one Obukohwo Paul, who as of the time of filling this report is believed to have run away for his dear life to unknown destination, though outside the country to avoid being initiated into a deadly and occultic shrine fraternity.
Paul, an indigene of Ofoma in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, South-South Nigeria is believed to have run away following a huge pressure mounting on him to replace his late father, Obukohwo Jackson who is alleged to be a chief priest of a shrine fraternity in his village.
It was gathered that trouble started for Paul when the council of elders of the shrine fraternity want a replacement for Paul’s father, Jackson who passed away on 6th March, 2016. It was gathered that the council of the elders of the shrines fraternity visited the family and announced that gods has chosen the eldest son of the chief priest, Steven who is the immediate elder brother to Paul to be the new chief priest to replace his late father.
Meanwhile, the chief priest was said to have warned his children not to accept such offer in case it eventually comes up on the ground that there are a lot of dangers attached to the position. The chief priest, prior to his death was also said to have briefed his children that he has four children but unfortunately, two of the children died as a result of the adverse effect of the shrine fraternity. In view of that, It was gathered that Steven rejected the offer saying he’s a Christian.
Our source disclosed that seven days after the council of the shrine approached Steven to present himself as the new chief priest, the council of elders of the shrine fraternity stormed their house in the middle of the night, in occultic song and broke their way into the house and dragged Steven away.
It was gathered that paul and his mother ran away for safety to a neighboring village the following day but some days later, news broke out and got to paul’s mother on 30th June,2016 that Steven has died during the process of initiating him into the shrine fraternity, a development which made the woman to slum and landed in the hospital following her unconsciousness.
Our source reiterated that the council of elders of the shrine visited paul and his mother in first week in July, 2016 again to notify the woman that the shrine has chosen paul to replace his late father as the chief priest of the shrine fraternity, following the death of steven his elder brother.
In view of this, paul’s mother was said to have advised him to run away to avoid falling victim like his elder brother steven.
Following his mother’s advice, paul was said to have run away since that time to an unknown destination.
