Benin City, the capital of Edo state witnessed a major mass protest today Friday 12th July 2019 when over 2000 people came out to show their continued support for the state governor Mr. Godwin Obaseki.
The education sector under the aegis of the association for formidable Educational Development lead the protest alongside other members of the society came together to show their support for governor as the battle for another governorship election begins to gain momentum in the state.
Obaseki is seeking a second term ticket amidst disagrement between him and his erstwhile godfather and chairman of the All progressive Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomole.
