How Miscreants storm “The Platform” group leader’s house

The activities of political thugs and lawlessness in the Nigeria society is not decreasing and their activities appear without visible check. Recently, a group of muscular armed men stormed the house of leader of The Platform Group, Prince Ulame Erese, in Benin City, Nigeria requesting to see him.

 After waiting for sometimes and Erese was not coming out,  they started shouting that the group must explain to them why he and his group called “The Platform”  has been holding numerous campaigns and protests against their government leader.

They subsequently rushed into the house but only met his younger brother, they scattered the entire house searching for the group leader was hiding in an enclose section of the house and he kept quiet all through the process. It only took God’s intervention for the group leader to have escaped been lynched by the political thugs, unfoertunately, from that day, the group leader has been receiving one for of threat or the other from various quarters from political circles in the state.

“The Platform”, it would be recalled was formed by Ulame and some of his friends while in the higher institution to raise the conscious members of the society by becoming people who would speak about the ills in society.

The group was formed not as anti-government but to resist the abuse of government powers. The Platform group are predominantly youths who believe that the young ones must be proactive towards fighting against  government impunity and corruptions, as they believe that they are either advocating for the immediate generation or the future one. The platform has been engaging in rallies, protests, and social advocacy events, as it uses the information in The Platform flyer as guide to educate and sensitize the public on the need to develop proper models for good societal growth and development. The group has dedicated advocates who facilitates different sectors/engagements
