Sanwo-Olu, Dare, Adebayo to grace Courier and Logistics Management Institute Investiture programme
…as Stakeholders set to discuss Courier, Logistics And Transport Entrepreneurship in National Development Agenda

Courier and Logistics Management Institute (CLMI) has concluded plan to hold the 2019 edition of her International Investiture on November 11, 2019.
According a Statement issued by the Registrar and COO of the institute, Mr. Frank Atirene on behalf of the Chairman, Governing Council of the Institute, Professor Simeon Emeje, the event will hold at Banquet Hall, Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria and the topic for discussion this year “Courier, Logistics And Transport Entrepreneurship In National Development Agenda”.
According to the statement, the thrust of the paper presentation on the topic is on courier, logistics and transport entrepreneurship and national development agenda with a focus on entrepreneurship, technology, education, professionalism, security apparatus, infrastructure and regulation.
The event is expected to be chaired by the former Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, while the Managing director, FedEx/Redstar Express will be the Guest Speaker. Also expected at the event are the Governors of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo.
Other expected guests of honour are Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Hon. Dr. Isa Ali Pantami, Minister for Youth & Sport Development, Sunday Akinlabi Dare among others.
There will also be panel of Discussants that will speak for about five or ten minutes each on the above areas of focus as a follow-up to the presentation. The Panelists are: Prof Charles Ayo—VC, Trinity University—Education & Professionalism, Prof Babawale Tunde—Fmr DG, CBAAC—Regulation
Others are Mazi Allison Sunny—Executive Chairman, GMC Logistics—Courier Entrepreneurship, Mr. Tim Akano—MD, New Horizons—Technology & Security Apparatus, Dr Madu Obiora—DG, African Centre for Supply Chain—Logistics & Transport, Prof Martins Agenuma Anetekhai–Director, Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies, LASU—Entrepreneurship and Mr. Francis Ehiguese—International Vice President, CILT—Infrastructure.
Frank stated that the Investiture is designed to be a higher dimension of 2018 version which was a mind-blowing epoch gathering of sharp minds and focused personalities and professionals worldwide from some European and African countries. He added that the Investiture is attracting renowned personalities in the academic, professional and government domains and industry Practitioners from Nigeria, Africa and Europe, including some Federal Ministers from Nigeria.
Frank added that accredited professional members like FELLOWS, MEMBERS, etc, will be inducted during the kids know programme.
“Courier and Logistics Management Institute is the first and the only one in the world with a combination of courier, logistics, transport and management as a capacity building package. The field of Courier, Logistics and Transport Management is relatively virgin globally. In the contemporary times, the business of courier, logistics and transport has become critical in national development.
“This prominence and the need to train and promote professionalism and certification in courier, logistics and transport services have made it imperative to establish this Institute (CLMI) with the following OBJECTIVES: a. Produce highly professional personnel and certification in the four major areas of courier, logistics, transport and management through training. b. Continuing professional education and research. c. Collaboration with higher institutions for Degrees and Diplomas on CLMI curriculum in Courier, Logistics, Transport and Management. d. Practical application of theoretical underpinnings in the four areas. e. Assist governments in policy formulation. f. Consultancy services in the major areas.
“The Institute is in collaboration with the following institutions in Europe and Nigeria and has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the award of Degrees and Diplomas in Courier, Logistics and Transport Management; all programmes are currently running: a. Swiss School of Management, Rome, Italy (BSc, MSc, PhD). b. University of Lagos Consult (Professional Diploma and Advanced Diploma).c. Limburg Graduate School of Business, Netherlands. d. New Horizons (Certificate Programmes)”.
