I didn’t sponsor boys to attack any companies, polobubou community leader, Marvis cries out

…as Warri North Youth” Cry Out For Justice

The youths of Tsekelewu/Polobubou communities in Egbema kingdom, Warri North, Delta State, South-South Nigeria led by its leader Pastor comrade MARVIS OFEYAI (president, Tsekelewu/polobubou welfare association) has debunk the rumour that their leader, comrade MARVIS OFEYAI sponsored some youths to attacked the multinationals operating with the communities and its environ, stating that their leader, comrade MARVIS OFEYAI has mutual relationship with the companies, hence he can never sponsor any gang against the companies.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by Comrade MARVIS OFEYAI and made available to The Factual, the community leader cried out that the allegation was a blackmailing effort orchestrated and masterminded by some individuals with the aim of destroying his reputation before state government and the entire world.

The president of Tsekelewu/polobubou welfare association therefore called on the various relevant security agencies to swing into action and investigate the matter and made those behind the act to face the full wrath of the law, so as to redeem his image.

The statement reads in part: “I have a good relationship with the various multinationals such as Chevron, NPDC and others companies operating in our communities. My relationship with the multinationals has been cordial for quite a numbers of years since I became the leader of my community. While will some outcast gang up against my person by confessing that am their sponsor for kidnapping and distribution of fire arms to eradicate the peaceful co-existence which we have been enjoy in my community all these years?

 “I want to let the government and the entire world know that I am innocent and as such, I Marvis Ofiyai will not truncate the benefit that Chevron, NPDC, Delta state government and the Federal government have brought to our community in form of corporate social responsibility that we have been enjoying. Some people are only trying to blackmail me because they have since realized that I stood for community interest as against selfish interest.

“Since my inception as president, there has never been record of mix conduct in my community until of recent when some crime suspects were arrested by the security agencies and investigation is ongoing. My innocent is beginning to surface because am a pastor, a leader who fears God. I have never involved in kidnapping, bunkering or cultism in my community or anywhere in the world.

 “I, Marvis Ofiyai hereby use this medium to appeal to the Nigeria army, Nigeria police force and other security agencies to commence proper investigation into this matter to apprehend their sponsors so as to avert future reoccurrence.

Marvis has also cried out that the youths that are behind the blackmailing and their sponsors are after his life. He however said irrespective of their threat and blackmailing, as a true citizen and president of TSEKELEWU/Polobubou welfare association, he would continue to condemn kidnapping, oil bunkering and killing in his communities.

“I am calling on the various securities agencies and good people of my community to stand by me so as to protect our land from this blackmailers and their sponsor from invading our natural God given resources. Even though there is agitation of leadership office in the court, I still want to appeal to Inspector General of Police and Commissioner of police in Delta State to set up panel of investigation to speedy up investigation. I want to appreciate the law enforcement agencies for job done so far, but more still need  to be done to eradicate this gang of Economy saboteur in our land”, Marvis said in the statement.
