Marvis Ofiyai, Abulu are the only recognized leader in Tsekelewu, bloc Community

Community leaders in Tsekelewu as well as Bloc community, have disowned the activities of some people parading themselves as the newly elected executive organ to run the affairs of Tsekelewu and Bloc communities, both in Polobubo in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta state, saying they are illegal and illegitimate.

In a statement issued and signed by the President, Tsekelewu Welfare Association, Com. Marvis Ofiyai and the President, Bloc Community, Mr. Sunny Abulu and made available to newsmen on Wednesday, the community leaders clarified that the current recognized and legal leader of the respective communities are Com. Marvis Ofiyai who is the President, Tsekelewu Welfare Association and   Mr. Sunny Abulu who is the President of Bloc Community.

They also made it clear in the statement that any other persons parading themselves to be the leader of the associations, or as executive members of the association other than the council being led by Com. Marvis Ofiyai (Tsekelewu Welfare Association) and Mr. Sunny Abulu (Bloc Community) are not recognized because they are illegal.

This is coming against the backdrop of illegal publication been allegedly sponsored in the Nation newspaper on Monday January 20, 20020, by one Mr. Mac-yoroki and Mr. Midwest Kukuru, both who claimed to be executive national council members of Tsekelewu community.

Putting the record straight, the statement stated that the tenure of Mr. Mac-yoroki and Mr. Midwest Kukuru as national council committee members of the said association has long expired since September 19, 2013, and that is because their tenure ran from 19th, September 2010 to september19th, 2013, hence both of them are no longer members of the association.

The community leaders therefore advice the international observer, multinational companies, NNPC ,Delta state government, cedars government, NGO and NPDC never to recognized the illegal body and not to also transact any businesses with them. The community leaders are insisting that the only approved and legally recognized body by both communities is the one led by, Com Marvis Ofiyai (president. Tsekelewu WELFARE association), and Mr. Sunny Abulu (president. Bloc community).

“In view of the expiration of their tenure as the council members of the associations, every activities conducted, instituted or enacted by Mr. Mac-yoroki and Mr. Midwest Kukuru for Tsekelewu welfare association and bloc community in polobubo now is illegal. The only recognized leadership in both communities are Com. Marvis Ofiyai , (PRESIDENT. Tsekelewu WELFARE association,) and Mr. Sunny Abulu (PRESIDENT. BLOC COMMUNITY) led executive.

 “We are making this statement to notify the international observer, multinational companies, NNPC ,Delta state government, cedars government, NGO and NPDC never to recognized the illegal body ,and never to transact ant businesses with them, that the only approved and legally recognized leadership in both communities is the one led by, Com Marvis Ofiyai (president. Tsekelewu WELFARE association,), and Mr. Sunny Abulu (president. Bloc community).

“It is equally important to notify everyone that there is Court order between Tsekelewu Welfare Association and the National Council of Tsekelewu, firstly on the 4th, July 2019, restraining any other executive outside the one dully elected by the entire Tsekelewu community led by Com. Marvis Ofiyai . It is equally important for everyone to note that the Com. Marvis Ofiyai executives is still in office.

“Also, on January 13, 2020, the court ruled as a result of disobedience in sapele high court that the case should be transfer to the Delta State Chief Judge for reassignment to another judge. With this restrainment, and couple with the fact that no congress no election in Tsekelewu community; the welfare association of Tsekelewu led by its president. Com. Marvis Ofiyai and it executives remains the only recognized leadership by Tsekelewu people worldwide.

“Multinational companies, international friends, Delta State Government, NGOs, and the Federal Government should please take note of this important update. All business dealing in the communities must be carry out with Com. Marvis Ofiyai and its executives only, any other executive is illegal”, the statement stated.
