Stakeholders Hail Customs Zone ‘A’ Q1 2026 Performance Under ACG Babadede

Stakeholders in the maritime sector have commended the Nigeria Customs Service Zone ‘A’ Commands for improved service delivery in Q1 2026, under the leadership of Zonal Coordinator, Assistant Comptroller General Mohammed Babadede.
Commands across Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, and Ondo were rated high on punctuality, discipline, complaint resolution, and officers’ conduct.
Revenue and enforcement also surged, with Q1 exports hitting $925.84m, a 38.68% increase. FOU Zone ‘A’ foiled 473 smuggling cases, recovering ₦5.5bn in Duty Paid Value.
ANLCA and freight forwarders credited CG Bashir Adeniyi and ACG Babadede for driving professionalism, faster clearance, and stronger trade facilitation.
