Prophet I.O. Samuel: Adeboye’s Seed Call Is Biblical, Not for Personal Gain

While speaking on the development in a statement, prophet Samuel insisted that Pastor Adeboye, who is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), does not need the money personally but he is only reinforcing a long-standing biblical principle of material loyalty to God’s Kingdom.
“He can call for more if he wants to. This is not the first time he has done this; he has only elevated the level of seed now,” Prophet Samuel said.
Citing examples from Scripture, the prophet noted that Abraham, David, Solomon, and Job were all wealthy in their time and wealth has always been a powerful tool for advancing God’s work.
He argued that believers must understand that “money answers all things” (Ecclesiastes 10:19) while avoiding the trap of loving money as stated 1 Timothy 6:10.
According to him, Pastor Adeboye’s request is in line with biblical precedent, pointing to the example of Prophet Moses, who called for offerings among the Israelites in the wilderness. He contrasted the criticism against Adeboye with how global elites generously support secular causes.
He said “Imagine what Illuminati leaders would receive from world leaders and stars they’ve empowered if they requested seeds to influence the world! Believers today are ‘killers of prophets,’ joining the world to mock God. Anyone fighting this grace will not excel in life.”
Describing Adeboye as “the greatest global reflection of godly humility,” prophet Samuel recounted personal encounters with the RCCG leader since the 1990s, emphasizing that Adeboye’s demeanor inspires reverence.
He further urged Christians to honor Adeboye in what he described as “his last days,” warning against actions that could “crush generational greatness.”
“I would give such a seed if needed,” he affirmed, quoting evangelist Umah Ukpai, who led him to Christ at the age of 12 and taught that “anointing without money is annoyance.”
The prophet call on everyone to repent and get ready for Christ’s return:
“Repent, brethren! Jesus is Lord and is coming soon. Do not miss the first and only flight.”
