The family of Oduware, in Benin City, Edo state, South-South Nigeria have raised the alarm over threat to their lives and that of their 25 years old Italy based daughter, identified as Success Oduware.
The threats, according to the family is coming from some people believed to be the errands of one Madam Loveth who claimed to have facilitated the traveling of Success from Nigeria to Napoli, Italy, with a promise of employment and other opportunities for a better life.
According to a member of the family who simply identified himself as Lucky, though Madam Loveth Promised Success a good job, she ended up luring success into prostitution in Italy
The source narrated that the development displeased and pained Success who eventually decided to disobey Madam Loveth and quit the immoral trade.
In view of this, she and her 67 years old mother, who is a widow in Nigeria could no longer pay the said money that Madam Loveth wanted them to pay for facilitating Success’ trip abroad.
He revealed that Success eventually ran away from where she reside in Napoli because she does not want to continue in prostitution.
The source said, “since then, some people believed to be agents of madam Loveth have been harassing the family members, they are claiming that we are owing their madam and even threatening to inflict harm on Success and her mother wherever they see them.
‘This has created fear in our sister Success abroad and her mother here in Nigeria, such that, they are now hiding so that they will not be attacked by the agents of Madam Loveth.
Speaking further, the source said “In Nigeria here, sometime in March, some boys suspected to be Madam Loveth loyalists attacked and beaten one of Success’ siblings and her mother, until they were rescued by some youths in the area.
It was gathered that, the boys later confessed after they were apprehended that were working for Madam Loveth.
According to the source, although the boys were handed over to the security operatives, nothing came out of it.
The family is appealing to relevant authorities for help.
‘We are appealing to the authorities to come to our rescue because our sister in Italy, her 67 years old mother and siblings and other family members at home are not safe.
“Madam Loveth has kept threatening and insisting that she must collect the money she spent despite the fact that it was obvious that she deceived our sister”.
