MAJAN Congratulates New Customs’ Boss, Adeniyi, Expresses Confidence in His Capacity

The Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria (MAJAN) has hailed the appointment of the new custom Acting Controller General, DCG Bashir Adewale Adeniyi,. saying he’s a round peg in the round hole.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the association heartily congratulated Adeniyi on his appointment as the  Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS),by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.and urged him to use his wealth of experience to turn the service around for the good of the country.

The statement reads in parts: ‘Your appointment as the new CG of Customs is well deserved and comes at a time the nation and indeed the NCS are in dire need of a professional, who really understands the dynamics and operational rudiments of the Service.

“Being an insider and one who understands the terrain and topology of the customs landscape, it is expected that you will bring your wealth of experience to bear on the operations of the service and re- position it along sustainable development.

“However, we are confident that you would turn things around, given your pedigree as one who has traveled this road before and haven served in various capacities including the office of the National Public Relations Officer, amongst others and excelled in all,we are hopeful too that you will equally bring transformational change into the Service.

“We, the Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria (MAJAN), have implicit confidence in you to deliver as usual.

“We assure you of our unflinching support and cooperation, as you pilot the affairs of the NSC to greater heights, bearing in mind that the NCS plays important role in the economic survival of the country.
We therefore wish you well in your new Office”
