Kaduna Customs Records 35% Revenue Surge, Rakes in N14.6bn in Q4 2025

By Ranmilowo Ojalumo    -The Kaduna Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has recorded a major revenue boost, generating N14.6 billion in the last quarter of 2025, representing a 35 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2024.

This was disclosed on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, by the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Sa’ad Hassan, during a press briefing held at Kabala Doki, Kaduna State, where the command presented its operational scorecard for the months of October to December 2025

Addressing journalists, Hassan said the command generated a total of N14,686,256,270.40 within the three-month period, a sharp rise from the N10,862,852,247.71 recorded in the corresponding quarter of 2024. The difference of N3.82 billion, he noted, underscored the command’s renewed commitment to national economic growth and efficient service delivery

He explained that the core mandate of the Kaduna Area Command remains revenue generation for the Federal Government, facilitation of legitimate trade, and protection of Nigeria’s economic security.

Breaking down the performance figures, the Customs boss revealed that the command generated N5.16 billion revenue in October, N3.83 billion in November, and N5.68 billion in December. According to him, the steady growth in monthly collections reflects improved operational efficiency and better stakeholder experiment

Hassan attributed the success to the dedication, professionalism, and resilience of officers and men of the command, who he said worked tirelessly to meet and surpass their revenue targets.

A statement signed by the Deputy Superintendent of Customs and Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna Area Command, Dauda Adamu quoted the comptroller saying “Our attainment is evidence of the diligence, professionalism, and commitment of our officers and men. It is also evocative of our steadfast commitment to the growth of our national economy,” he stated

He further disclosed that the command has intensified measures aimed at improving toll collections, with support from other service units, stressing that synergy, continuous dialogue, and community sensitisation remain central to its strategy.

The Controller identified key factors responsible for the impressive performance, including improved staff motivation by the management of the service and the sustained deployment of intelligence and reconnaissance by the monitoring and compliance team

He also commended the contributions of the Customs Intelligence Unit, Valuation Unit, and Customs Police Unit, noting that their prompt actions and cooperation significantly enhanced the command’s operational effectiveness.

Hassan linked the command’s success to the policy direction of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, describing his leadership style as visionary and impact-driven.

“Our achievements align with the policy thrust of the Comptroller-General, who has championed the principles of consolidation, collaboration, and innovation. His support has been crucial in driving these results,” he said

In his concluding remarks, the Area Controller called on factories, terminal operators, and traders to ensure the timely payment of excise duties, import duties, and other statutory charges. He assured stakeholders that the command remains committed to carrying out its responsibilities in line with the Nigeria Customs Service Act, 2023.

He also expressed appreciation to the management of the Nigeria Customs Service for providing an enabling environment and thanked critical stakeholders for their sustained collaboration with the command

The briefing was signed by the Deputy Superintendent of Customs and Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna Area Command, Dauda Adamu.
