LASTMA RESCUES ASTHMATIC LADY, BUS DRIVER AT ACCIDENT SCENE

Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Wednesday morning rescued a female asthmatic patient and a commercial bus driver from an accident scene at Ajala inward Abule-Egba area of Lagos.

The Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA Mr. Adebayo Taofiq, in a statement on Wednesday morning, quoted Lastma Ogunjobi Jeremiah (Head Zone 19) to have confirmed that to (2) accident victims were rescued from an accident scene that involved a Toyota Sienna (BDG 18 FZ) and a white commercial Mitsubishi bus (AYE 880 SF).

He confirmed further that a preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the Toyota Sienna bus had a head collision with the white commercial Mitsubishi bus while driving against traffic prohibited by Law (One-way).

“Immediately we arrived at the accident scene the driver of the commercial Mitsubishi white bus who had bruises over his body and another female asthmatic patient were rescued by Lastma officials”

Lastma Ogunjobi disclosed that the female asthmatic patient rescued from the accident scene was immediately rushed to BISAM Hospital for urgent medical attention, but the drivers of both accidented vehicles were handed over to Police-men from ‘Meiran’ Police Station for further investigation.
