Kalu Reaffirms Commitment to Traditional Institutions During Abia North Ward Tour

By Gwen Ifeson. Senator representing Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening his relationship with traditional rulers across the senatorial district, describing them as important partners in community development.
Kalu made the commitment during his ongoing ward tour of Abia North, where he engaged traditional rulers in Isuikwuato Local Government Area led by HRM Eze Faraday Chinekwe, Chairman of the Isuikwuato Traditional Rulers Advisory Council.
During the engagement, Kalu pledged to maintain regular consultations with traditional rulers and ensure that their communities are considered in upcoming grant programmes and other development initiatives.
The senator also highlighted his constituency empowerment programmes, noting that his interventions extend beyond direct financial assistance to include educational support, infrastructure, agriculture and other initiatives aimed at improving opportunities for constituents.
He said students would also be supported to pursue further academic studies, including opportunities abroad.
The traditional rulers commended Kalu for what they described as his legislative contributions and continued constituency outreach. They also expressed support for his return to the Senate.
Kalu’s engagement with the traditional institution forms part of his broader ward tour across Abia North, through which he is seeking to maintain direct contact with community leaders and residents while identifying local needs and priorities.
