Chief Priest, Youths Declared Man Wanted for Setting Ablaze Ikeken Community Ancestral Idol

The Chief Priest and the youths in Ikeken community, Edo State, South – South Nigeria, are currently in search of one Mr Akhigbe Vote Ehimhen for destroying and setting ablaze their community ancestral Idols.
It was gathered that the community idol was housed in a farm belonging to Akhigbe Vote Ehimhen’s late father (Mr Akhigbe) until it was destroyed and set ablaze.
Unfortunately, according to the information gathered from the community chief priest and the youths, to rebuild the ancestral idols requires a lot of ancient items for the sacrifices and cleansing to appease the gods of the land.
Sources who prefer anonymity, as well as the spokesperson for the community youths, Eromosele Kester, however disclosed that severe consequences await the culprit.
According to the chief priest and other members of the community, Akhigbe Vote Ehimhen, has been criticizing the.Ikeken community’s traditional beliefs before he eventually destroyed the ancestral idol recently.
Meanwhile, it was also gathered from sources in the community that Akhigbe Vote Ehimhen’s father ( MR Akhigbe) had dispute with the community before his death over the idols that occupied the family’s parcel of land.
The Community is urging the general public to report any useful information leading to apprehension of Akhigbe Vote Ehimhen.
