Alhaji Sulaimon Fatai Ayomide: From Freight Desk to Chapter Chairmanship Bid at NAGAFF Airport

By Olamilekan Adisa -Freight forwarding is an international business, and experience is the best teacher. For many in the industry, an old poacher still makes the best game happen.
Alhaji Sulaimon Fatai Ayomide, Vice Chairman of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) Airport Chapter, is now contesting for the chairmanship of the chapter.
Known as “Akogun999” to colleagues and friends, Fatai was born in the 1970s into the Fojudagbon family of Iperu-Remo, Ikenne LGA, Ogun State. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Lagos State Polytechnic and an International Higher Diploma in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Management from Redeemer’s University.
Fatai entered the freight forwarding business in 2002 under Alhaji Olanreju Akanni Rasaq, Chairman/CEO of Lamex Group of Companies. Over two decades in the field have shaped him into a business-minded, focused entrepreneur committed to moving the association forward.
His service record within NAGAFF reflects steady progression: former Assistant Secretary of the Airport Chapter, now Vice Chairman, and now a candidate for the top seat.
If elected, Fatai has promised an open-door policy for all members, pledging to run an inclusive administration that prioritizes transparency, member engagement, and professional growth.
For many in the chapter, his pitch is simple: experience, industry knowledge, and a commitment to take NAGAFF Airport Chapter to the next level.
