A former member of Oyo State House of Assembly, Dr. (Mrs.) Adebimpe Esan has extolled the virtues of the All Progressive Congress National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for singlehandedly financed all Alliance for Democracy (AD) candidates into State Assembly in 2003 election.
She made this known when receiving National Leadership of Tinubu Progressive Group Worldwide led by its Acting Director General (DG), Dr. Adeniyi Adelodun in her Bodija residence, Ibadan recently.
Dr. Esan said, Asiwaju might not recognise her today, but how God used him as a sustainable agent who restored lost hope few days to the election in 2003 still fresh in her memory. Her words ” AD had lost all 14 seats into Federal House of Representatives, this was in violation of political agreement reached by AD governors in South West with ex-president Obasanjo. This made our leaders to insist that they would not participate in the next State Assembly Election. In addition, they (Leaders) said the party purse was lean as they could not finance the election.” She continued that “It was Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu that gave each of the 32 candidates #100,000 to finance their elections.”
She added that Asiwaju Tinubu remained the only candidate that can lead Nigeria to Israel (Promised Land), having left the Egypt since 1999.
Dr. Esan also used the occasion to shower encomium on Iyaloja General, who also doubled as Life Patron of the group, Dr. (Mrs) Folashade Tinubu Ojo for holding the flag high and promised to partner her in any way she could to make sure Asiwaju become the President in 2023.
Speaking earlier, the Acting DG, Dr. Adeniyi Adelodun, who was accompanied by National Secretary, Mr. Taofeek Owolawi and Treasurer, Mrs. Olaide Adeboye thanked Hon. Esan for the warm welcome his entourage received. He said his team was in Oyo State to officially invite the grassroot politician to the forthcoming Tinubu Progressive Group Worldwide Inauguration which comes up on Tuesday, 21st December, 2021 in Lagos. Also, to deliver goodwill message from Iyaloja General, who, according to him, insisted that group must visit her as part of efforts to propagate Asiwaju’s presidential ambition to Ibadan through grassroot politicians like her.
Why concluding, Osun born Prince enjoined Mrs. Esan not to relent in her efforts to pursue her political ambition despite all the odds against women in Oyo State politics.
