For the Ogbole’s family, this is not the best of time as members of the family are now on the run to save their lives from death threat.
According to sources, trouble started for the family when one Mr Osamede Felix was said to have shown interest to marry an Ogbole daughter, identified as Esther Omo Ogbole but his proposal was rejected by Esther.
Whereas, Osamede Felix was said to have gotten the consent of one Ehis Ogbole, who was an uncle to Esther Ogbole.
Source said Ehis Ogbole had received several pecuniary gain from Osamede Felix and promised to ensure that Esther Ogbole marries him but the plan met with brick wall.
Meanwhile, Esther Ogbole was said to have ran away when she could no longer bear the presure from Osamede Felix and her uncle Ehis Ogbole.
According source, when Osamede Felix realised that Esther Ogbole is not yielding to his request, he together with Ehis, reportedly turned violent against the family that comprised of their aged and diabetic mother, Mary Ogbole, her daughter, Esther Omo Ogbole as well as Esther siblings namely, Gloria Ogbole and Uwah Ogbole.
Following the disappearance of Esther from the community, it was gathered that Osamede Felix vowed to wipe out the remaining members of the family unless they produce. Esther Ogbole for him.
While giving account of the family’s ordeal in a short chat with our correspondent, Gloria and Uwah Ogbole said after the disappearance of Esther, they lived in fear every day and Osamede Felix also told them that they have few days to live if they don’t produce Esther Ogbole for him to marry.
They also told our correspondent that they narrowly escaped dead on a fateful day when Osamede Felix sent some assailants to hurt them.
Our correspondent gathered that when Gloria and Uwah Ogbole discovered that Osamede Felix was serious with his threat to kill them unless they produce Esther, they also ran away from the community to unknown destination, leaving behind only their aged mother, Mary Ogbole who is battling with Diabetes.
As of press time, nobody knows the whereabouts of the ladies.
