The Centre for Human and Socio-economic Rights CHSR commiserate with the Nigerian Army, the Fderal Government of Nigeria and the immediate family of Chief Of Army Staff, Lt Gen Taoreed Lagbaja who died on Tuesday night, as announced by the presidency.
The centre send its condolence message in a statement signed on Wednesday by its president, Comrade Alex Omotehinse.
In the statement, the centre said”We urged the Nigerian Army not to see the death of the Army chief as a resolve to defeat the fight against insurgence and other associated vices plaguing Nigeria.
“It is our strong believe that Lt. Gen Taoreed Lagbaja during his lifetime was committed to riding Nigeria off criminal elements. Lagbaja left an indelible mark on the sand of times
“Nigeria has just lost a great man our sincere condolence to Mr. President , Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria Army and his immediate family that he left behind
“May his gentle soul rest in peace .”
