In a case that has sparked significant public attention, security operatives have arrested Mr. John Obas and one of his partners for allegedly engaging in homosexual activity.
The two have reportedly been in custody for over a year, facing accusations of involvement in same-sex relationships, a criminalized act under Nigerian law.
During interrogation, Mr. John Obas allegedly admitted to having relationships with multiple men, including Jafaru Awudu, who is now at large.
Sources close to the investigation revealed that Mr. Obas and Mr. Jafaru shared a longstanding relationship that began during their time at Ethiope Secondary School in Sapele, Delta State. This connection reportedly rekindled when the two reunited in Lagos in recent years.
Authorities have intensified efforts to locate Mr. Jafaru Awudu, urging the public to provide any information regarding his whereabouts. The security operatives have pledged to ensure confidentiality for anyone who comes forward with useful information.
