A lady identified as Aget Bello has allegedly ran away from her marriage over alleged abuse and maltreatment from her husband, identified as Chief Godstime Nosakhare.
As of press time, Chief Godstime Nosakhare, a powerful and influential personality in Iguadolor Community, Benin City, Edo State, is yet to know the whereabouts of his wife.
According to sources, Aget Bello now 25, was said to have been betrothed to the Chief by her parents back in 2012, when she was 13 years old against her wish.
It was gathered that Aget Bello’s parents owed the Chief heavily, and the only option left for them to be relieved of the huge, though undisclosed debt, was to betroth their daughter to the Chief.
Sources said the Chief subjected his teenager wife to all sorts of abuse and maltreatment. It was gathered that her parents turned deaf ears to all her complaints and simply told her to endure because there was no going back on her marriage to the Chief.
It was gathered that Aget Bello endured all the maltreatment until 2024, few weeks before her disappearance.
Meanwhile, according to sources, a man suspected to be Aget Bello’s boyfriend and schoolmate, identified as John, said a good Samaritan simply identified as pastor Solomon may have decided to help her to run away to an unknown destination.
As of the time of this report, Chief Nosakhare who is considered to be a powerful and influential personality is still using every available machinery to locate his wife and has vowed to make her life a living hell if eventually found.
