Mascot Kalu Purchases APC Governorship Nomination Form, Affirms Commitment to Govern Abia

Mascot Uzor Kalu has officially purchased the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship nomination form, signaling his intention to contest in the 2027 gubernatorial election in Abia State.

With this move, he becomes the first aspirant within the party to obtain the nomination form ahead of the forthcoming primaries.

In a statement issued following the purchase, Mascot Kalu described the action as a clear demonstration of his resolve to pursue the governorship under the APC platform. He reassured his supporters of his determination, urging them to remain steadfast and confident in his leadership ambition.

Kalu emphasized that his political journey is driven by a vision for a greater Abia State and maintained that he remains committed to seeing it through to the end. He also expressed appreciation to his supporters and acknowledged the contributions of the Abia State Working Committee, the National Working Committee (NWC), and other party leaders and stakeholders for their roles in guiding the party’s affairs.
