How trailer driver, others escaped during jail break

Following an alleged frightening shouting and jail breaking at ogwashi uku prison recently, one Thompson Amaechi Christian and other inmates have been reportedly declared missing from the prison and allegedly escaped.
It was gathered that some unknown gunmen suspected to be accomplice of some of the inmates at the prison stormed the prison premises on February 2, 2016.
Source said the yet to be identified gunmen in an attempt to whiskey one of their own away from the prison were shooting sporadically and eventually broken into the prison, thereby enabling some of the inmate to escape.
According to source, Thompson Amaechi Christian who was sentenced to life imprisonment escaped together with other prisoners.

Thompson Amaechi Christian, it was gathered, worked with a top construction company in the country.
It was gathered that his vehicle, a trailer has brake failure on august 15, 2015 on his way from Warri to Owa Oyibu site where he was meant to delivered granite.
According to source, the incident happened near Abavo market and ram into the market while activities were going on in the market, killing many people and leaving many injured.
Source said the driver ran to the nearest police station immediately the accident happened.
It was gathered that the matter was taken to court on august 31 to try the driver for manslaughter, but unfortunately, he was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment on November 2, 2015.
Thompson Amaechi Christian had spent barely just three months when the Ogwashi Uku prison was broken and he escaped to unknown destination.
The prison authority has declared Thompson Amaechi Christian and other escaped inmate wanted and the effort to rearrest them is still ongoing.
