Ex-cultist in Trouble as Eiye Group Seeks to Kill Him

One Festus Aiwekhoe has put himself into trouble by joining a cult, Black Axe, but a rival cult group, Eiye confraternity, is now looking for him and vowed to kill him on sight alongside other members of the Black Axe group.

It was gathered that trouble started for Festus when he ignorantly joined the Black Axe group in Benin City, Edo State South-South Nigeria, with the wrong belief that the group usually takes good care of its members, has a good connections, and also helps to secure good jobs.

He was also said to have held the notion that the group is meant to defend the oppressed and the less privileged in society, a notion he later got to know was wrong and when he discovered that the group was not what he thought to be when he joined, he decided to renounce his membership.

According to a source who identified herself as Osato Agbontea (Mrs.), a crisis broke out on May 17, 2015, between the two rival groups, the Black Axe and Eiye group, hence the Eiye group started looking for members of the Black Axe group to maim and kill them. It was gathered that one of the Eiye group’s prime targets, identified as Ohis was Festus’ close friend.

It was gathered that the Eiye.group visited Fetus’s residence on a fateful day following information that Ohis was with Festus and when they got to the premises, they started shooting sporadically, but unfortunately during the process, a bullet mistakenly hit Osamudiamen who happened to be Festus neighbor and died, but Ohis, the prime target narrowly escaped.

Following the incident, the source said Festus ran away from the premises because Osamudiamen’s uncle a military officer launched an attack against him; the Eiye group on the other hand was also looking for him and his friend, Ohis, a development that made Festus to run away

Agbontea said the Eiye group visited Festus’ residence again in April 2019, and when they got to Festus’ apartment, they saw his cousin who told them that Festus was no longer living on the premises, and because of that, they shot him dead and also dropped a warning note that they were looking for Festus and threat to kill him on sight.

Although the matter has since caught the attention of the security agents in the area, but they have not been able to curtail the activities of the various cult groups in the area.
