FRSC boss Oyeyemi to lead discussion on truck drivers’ management at Haulmace 2019

The 2019 edition of Haulage and Logistics Magazine Annual Conference and Exhibition (HAULMACE) has been scheduled to hold on October 9, 2019 at City Hall, Catholic Mission Street, Lagos Island, Lagos.
The conduct and behavior of truck drivers that is often seen as unruly and unprofessional in Nigeria has been of serious concern to all stakeholders in cargo transportation. As a result of this, HAULMACE 2019 is aimed at developing an approach to driver management in order to achieve safety and professionalism in cargo transportation.

The theme of the 2019 event is “Developing a stakeholders approach to driver management and professionalism for safety in Cargo transportation in Nigeria”. The keynote speech will be delivered by the Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi MFR, mni, NPoM.
Haulage and Logistics Magazine Annual Conference and Exhibition is the biggest gathering of decision makers in the Haulage and Logistics Industry in Nigeria. HAULMACE is an annual event for the haulage and logistics subsector in Nigeria that started in year 2014. The event is organized by Haulage and Logistics Magazine- the first and widest circulating truly haulage magazine in Nigeria. The aim of the annual event is to provide a platform for advocacy and resolution of pressing issues affecting the growth and development of the Nigerian haulage and logistics industry.
The aim of HAULMACE 2019 is to sensitize and inculcate the culture of safety among stakeholders in the product distribution value chain and create a professional career path for Nigerian truck drivers and their assistants.
The National President, Nigerian Association of Transport Owners (NARTO) will be the special guest of honour at the event. The National President, Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), Comrade (Prince) Williams Eniredonana Akporeha as well as the National Chairman Petroleum Tanker Drivers branch of NUPENG (PTD), Comrade Akanni Oladiti has also been invited to the guest of honour at the event.
Other guests of honour expected at the event include National Chairman, Association of Maritime Trucks Owner (AMATO), Chief Remi Ogungbemi, National President, Corporate Fleet Truck Owners Association, Mrs. Folake George; President, Council of Maritime Transport Union Association (COMTUA) Mr Leye Thompson National President, Allied Truck and Transporters Association of Nigeria (ATTAN), Mr. Mutiu Akinbode.
Other Important guests expected at the event are the Managing Director of top haulage and logistics companies in the country such as ABC Transport, GPC, TSL, AOP, A & A Global, BHN, Supply Chain Managers and Logistics Directors of various organizations, Managing Directors/ Chief Executives of manufacturing companies, Executives and members of industry associations in haulage industry (such as NARTO, PTD, NUPENG among others), Safety personnel and experts, Relevant road traffic law enforcement/governmental agencies.(State and Federal), Banks and other financiers of haulage assets as well as Insurance Companies.
