The Sad Story of Two Helpless Siblings After Parent’s Death

For Tunde Frank Adeniji and her sister, Kewe Grace Adeniji, life has not been rosy. The two siblings have been navigating from one challenge of life to another. As much as Tunde has been making attempts to find a way out of life’s challenges, things appear to be getting tougher, especially since the demise of his father.
Having lost contact with their mother early in Life, Tunde Frank Adeniji and her sister, Kewe Grace Adeniji, have been living with their father in Ozoro community Delta State, South–Sout Nigeria until when they were allegedly chased out of the village, on the allegation that Tunde was a wizard and her sister Grace was a witch.
Eventually, they relocated to Borno State, North East Nigeria in 2017 to live with one Suleman, their father’s half-brother. According to a source, Pa Idris Kabiru, unfortunately for the two siblings, their father died a few months later, hence they were living with their uncle, Suleman who compounded their problems again by selling them to unknown terrorist groups and hence the siblings lost contact with each other.
Pa Kabiru disclosed further that the group subjected Tunde to forced labour for months until he was able to escape from them, adding that the group threatened to find Tunde by all means.
On the whereabouts of Tunde and her sister Grace as of press time, Pa Kabiru stated that Grace may have been married to one of the members of the sect that eventually took her away or probably met an unfortunate sad end. He, however, told our reporter that there was a rumor at some point that some people were planning to or may have trafficked Tunde to another country through land border.
Meanwhile, human trafficking has been a serious issue in Nigeria for some years now but the government has not been able to nip it in the bud. Whereas, traffickers have long been known for subjecting trafficked victims to life of torture, fear and horror when they eventually get to the country destination, which usually worsen the condition of the victims before they were trafficked.
Pa Kabiru lamented that he was afraid that Tunde who had escaped from the group was at serious risk because few people who had fled from the known and unknown terrorist groups in the past were either killed or disappeared without trace.
