EPL: Manchester City’s De Bruyne rated EPL best player
The English premier league (EPL) is one of the most competitive league in the world. Infact, some football fan has adjudged EPL as the best league in the world; no wonder the league is enjoying large viewership.
Aside from enjoying large viewership, the league has produced high profile players and is still doing so. Sometimes, it is usually difficult to rate certain player above another unless when one player certainly distinguish himself with some unique quality.
However, one of the methods of identifying the best player at every moment now is through their rating. According to a statistics site, Whoscored.com, as of today June 16, 2020, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne may have been adjudged the best player with a rating of 7.92.
Adama Traore of Wolves has been rated second with 7.61 rating, Riyad Mahrez third with 7.59 rating, Leicester teammate Ricardo Pereira rated 7.50, Liverpool trio Sadio Mane rated 7.50, Mohamed Salah rated 7.45 and Virgil van Dijk, in that order.
Nigerian Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has been rated eighth overall best player in the English Premier League with a rating of 7.36. James Maddison followed with 7.34 rating. Manchester united forward Marcus Rashford completed the best top 10 with 7.34 rating.
Ndidi has also been rated as the second best defensive midfielder in the division. Ndidi ranking may however not be unexpected. The 23-year-old has been a mainstay for the his club this season and was in action for 1,892 minutes spread across 23 matches, before the coronavirus pandemic.
