APFFLON Commends NAFDAC on Stakeholders’ Sensitisation

Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria (APFFLON), has commended the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), for a very successful virtual sensitization meeting with stakeholders.
The Association, through its National President, Otunba Frank Ogunojemite, gave Kudos to the Agency for the enlightenment exercise, saying it was geared towards a better procedural understanding.
The Agency on Wednesday, 5th of August 2020, had organized a webinar for all stakeholders to enlighten participants on the processing and enrollment of NAFDAC electronic documents on the Single Window for Trade portal used in the processing of ‘Form M’ and the introduction of the Full end-to-end clearance of NAFDAC regulated products on the inspection data capture and Risk Management System (PIDCARMS).
In a press briefing immediately after the meeting, the National President of APFFLON, expressed satisfaction with the detailed information and response of participants, saying he was optimistic that the Agency haven thrown more light on its electronic documentation procedures have addressed the challenges being faced by Freight Forwarders in line of duty, adding that the exercise would go a long way in streghtening the working relationship between the Agency and stakeholders.
NAFDAC, during the meeting, provided detailed procedural information and also enlightened stakeholders on the newly introduced Full end-to-end clearance of its regulated products on the inspection capture and Risk Management System (PIDCARMS).
Recall that few weeks ago, APFFLON had in one of its press statements criticized the Agency for its ianbility to address the challenges being faced by Freight Forwarders in accessing NAFDAC electronic portal, calling for urgent sensitization of stakeholders so as to address the challenge.
The APFFLON President had pointed out that a very important agency like NAFDAC can not perform optimally without regular interface with stakeholders and proper sensitization, advising the Agency to make it more regular, insisting that is the only way to achieving greater results.
