OKITIPUPA LG CHAIRMAN PROMISES PEOPLE-ORIENTED LEADERSHIP, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO STAFF WELFARE.

The Executive Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State, Andrew Ogunsakin, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to staff welfare, environmental sanitation, and improved working conditions.
The Chairman has also promised the people of Okitipupa Local Government Area a more efficient transparent and people-oriented leadership.
According to a statement signed on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Tosin Ayejusunle, the chairman expressed the commitment at a meeting with staff members.
Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman emphasized that, “a labourer is entitled to his wages” and assured all employees of his unwavering support. He urged everyone to be sincere in their service, stating that a lot needs to be done, and honesty must be prioritized.
The Chairman further assured the workforce of maximum cooperation from his office, promising not to let them down. He described the meeting as a good beginning and pledged that the administration would work tirelessly to fulfill its responsibilities.
In a major development, he announced that electricity would be restored to the local government secretariat within the month, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
The Chairman also stressed the importance of punctuality in governance and service delivery, stating that, “punctuality is the soul of business.” He urged staff members to adhere strictly to time-consciousness in their daily duties.
As part of efforts to improve the working environment, he assured that a lodge would be provided for management staff.
