EXPLOSION IN OSUN APC, AS CIVIL SOCIETY EXPOSES ALLEGED FORGED CERTIFICATE PLOT, THREATENS MASSIVE COURT ACTION

Political tension is mounting in Osun State following explosive allegations that influential APC leaders are attempting to impose a candidate allegedly disqualified over forged certificates in the Boripe/Ifelodun/Odo-Otin Federal Constituency race.
The Centre for Good Governance, Civic Enlightenment and Community Development (CEGCECD) Coalition, in a fiery statement, accused party power brokers of trying to override electoral laws and internal party rules to protect the embattled aspirant, Eniade Francis Olwadamilare.
The coalition alleged that forged credentials, including a WAEC certificate, were uncovered during document verification exercises conducted after the APC primary election.
CEGCECD said the discovery should have triggered automatic disqualification but claimed some senior party figures are allegedly working behind closed doors to secure the candidate’s emergence at all costs.
The coalition has now vowed to storm the court and mobilise nationwide awareness campaigns to resist what it described as “a dangerous rape of democracy.”
Lead counsel for the coalition, Barrister Titilope Adam, warned that certificate forgery is a criminal offence under Nigerian law and vowed that the matter would not be swept under the carpet.
The coalition further urged INEC to immediately withhold recognition of the aspirant pending judicial intervention.
