Police Declares Clement Wanted Over Alleged Homosexuality

The Nigerian Police Force has declared one Mr. Okojabhole Clement wanted for allegedly taking part in homosexual acts contrary to the Nigeria’s same-sex marriage prohibition Act 2013, which was signed into law in 2014.

The indecent practice allegedly involving Okojabhole Clement and his sexual partner Johnbull Okojie, was said to have been going on for some time now, but Okojabhole Clement  and his partner Okojie ran out of  luck on April 19, 2015 when law enforcement officers were called in from Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria who arrested them.

According to the interim police investigation report released by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Adesuwa Division, Benin City, Nigeria, and which was obtained by our correspondent, the police received information on 19th April, 2015 at around 13:00 hours that Okojabhole Clement  and Johnbull Okojie were engaging in homosexuality.

According to the report, following the information received, entry was made and the case referred for detailed investigation.

The complaint which was made through a tip-off led to the investigation and arrest of Johnbull who provided a confessional statement to the police that he is a sexual partner to Clement, stating further that they were caught in the hotel room  by a group of person’s who inflicted series of injuries on them. Mr. Okojie was arrested while Clement was said to have escaped upon seeing the police officers.

Following his escape, the police has however declared Clement wanted for violating the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act 2013. The force has also call on anyone with useful information about the whereabouts of Okojabhole Clement should please contact the nearest Police Station or law enforcement agency for proper prosecution.
