A man, identified as Vincent Agholor has been declared wanted by Oghada Community Youths and security operatives in Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of Edo State, for Alleged killing of a woman who specializes in female genital mutilation, commonly known as circumcision in Nigeria.
According to sources, Vincent Agholor’s mother took Gloria Agholor, Vincent younger sister to Mrs Lucy Imafidion on September 29, 2023, for female genital mutilation, which unfortunately became complicated and led to Gloria’s death after losing much blood.
Sources said Vincent Agholor immediately went to Mrs Imafidion with bitterness to express his disaffection and also blamed her for killing his only biological lovely sister.
A source said Vincent Agholor held Mrs Lucy Imafidion’s cloth while shouting and crying in her compound.
The source said Vincent Agholor bitter crying attracted attention of people who later arrived and pacified him to let his hand off Mrs Lucy Imafidion’s cloth, but in the process, Mrs Lucy Imafidion fell and fainted.
The source stated further that Mrs Lucy Imafidion later came back to life and Vincent Agholor returned to his house.
Unfortunately, Mrs Lucy Imafidion didn’t survive the incident as she died few hours later, sources said.
Mrs Lucy Imafidion was suspected to have hitted her head against hard object when she fell.
The family of Mrs Lucy Imafidion however alleged that Vincent Agholor violently pushed her before she fell.
“He was devastated when he got the news” a source said.
Following Mrs Lucy Imafidion’s death, her family members and youths in the community accused Vincent Agholor to be responsible for her death, hence, they went after him.
Sources said Vicent had however run away before they got to his house .
The source said the youths and members of Mrs Lucy Imafidion family vandalized Vincent Agholor property since they couldn’t see him at home and subsequently reported the matter to the security operatives.
Although the family members of Mrs Lucy Imafidion, the community youths and security operatives are still on the look out for Vincent Agholor, his whereabouts remains elusive as of the time of this report.
